Your opt-out rights

Privacy laws in California and a growing number of other U.S. states give residents the right to opt out of the “sale” of their personal information and of its “sharing” for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We offer the mechanism on this page to everyone, regardless of state.

Where OverpayCheck stands

OverpayCheck does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use first-party analytics only and do not embed third-party advertising trackers.

Separately from “sale”: if you choose to continue to a provider during a check, information may be shared with that provider as disclosed to you at that moment — that transfer happens only at your direction and is not affected by this opt-out.

How to submit a request

To record an opt-out preference, or to exercise any other privacy right (access, correction, deletion), email privacy@overpaycheck.org with the subject “Privacy request” and include:

You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of authorization. We will confirm receipt and respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

A note on cookies

Our cookies are first-party and functional only (keeping your visit and any in-progress check working) — there are no third-party advertising cookies to opt out of. You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
